#GlowLikeWhoa with OLAY

*This post is sponsored by Olay*

Confession: I’ve never been a huge skincare girl. As long as I had a good cleanser and a moisturizer with sunscreen, I was fine. But since I’m getting older and I know how important it is to keep my skin looking and feeling healthy, I knew it was time to add some new products to my bare minimum routine.

I’ve always loved that Olay is a super accessible brand that I have trusted for years, and because I’m someone who gets extremely overwhelmed when it comes to skincare and the many options out there, I was very excited to try out these new products! From detoxifying scrubs to overnight masks and serum sticks, I’ve been able to add a few things to my new skincare routine and have noticed a difference in how my skin has changed. Keep reading for more deets!

After a rough bout with acne in my teens, I’ve been pretty fortunate to not have any major skin issues. My only skin gripes lately have been the appearance of large pores, hyper-pigmentation and my oily skin. Annoying (!) but nothing I can’t deal with.

I kept hearing people talk about the benefits of Vitamin C serums, but had never even thought to try it for myself. With Olay’s new serum sticks, I got to add this product to my routine without the fuss of a messy oil. I can apply directly from the stick and keep it moving!

What is Vitamin C?

Vitamin C is an antioxidant that helps brighten skin tone. The same way antioxidant-rich foods help with fighting off germs, topical antioxidants (like Vitamin C) help in fighting off harmful UV rays and daily exposure to pollution (hello, NYC living!) - they help keep our skin healthy.

Vitamin C can also help fade dark spots without changing your normal skin pigmentation - which is exactly what I need!

How has the brightening serum stick helped me?

Well, since I don’t get pimples very often, the few that I do get ALWAYS leave a dark mark. No matter what I do, it always happens. During my last menstrual cycle I got a really big pimple on my temple. The dark mark it left was offensive! I usually let them fade on their own, but this time I decided to try Olay’s brightening serum stick and I have noticed that the spot has lightened in just 5 days of use.

How cool is this Kaboodle Olay sent over with some classic 80s accessories? Elle LOVED the tiny butterfly clips and couldn’t keep her little hands off of them.

Also inside my Kaboodle full of Olay products, I was gifted the Pore Perfecting Scub with Vitamin C and Dragon Fruit, which has been a godsend! I mentioned before that my large pores have always been an issue for me, so after incorporating this product into my routine, I’ve noticed a much smoother texture. I only use it every other night, and even on the days where I don’t, I can tell the difference from before I incorporated it. I’m excited to try the rest of the products to see how my skin changes with time.

Check out all of Olay’s new products here. Which products will you be trying? Let me know in the comments!
