One Dress, Four Ways

The only thing I love more than bright colors and bold prints is versatility. I can't get enough of re-working my pieces into different outfits over and over again! It's one of the things I teach my clients, how to choose versatile pieces that can be styled in many different ways - like this polka dot dress.

I'll be honest though, when I first bought it, I was pregnant, and was only thinking about wearing it for that season. It was stylish, comfy & easy, so it was the perfect option for my pregnancy style.

After having my baby, I really wanted to cover up the extra belly (still do, really), so I was looking for an oversized blouse to wear with slacks. Again, something stylish and comfortable. This dress was perfect, because the buttons allowed me to do my half-tuck that I love so much.

Another option is to wear it as a layering piece! When I was ready to wear this white polka dot dress (available in my shop, and currently on sale!), I felt it needed an extra layer. My contrasting polka dot dress was the perfect option (again) because the buttons allowed me to wear it open to show the gorgeous halter.

Crazy that I didn't even take my own advice when I initially bought this dress. I didn't see wearing it past pregnancy for whatever reason. But fortunately, I was able to get the most out of this purchase by finding a few different ways to wear it.

My challenge for you this week is to find one piece in your closet and style it at least two different ways! Let me know how it goes & tell me if you have any other ideas for this dress in the comments!
